Scandalous Lace

New polish! New polish! :D The other day I convinced mom to let me get these two polishes while at Albertson's. I've had a lemming for a pale cream purple for a while, and the sparkly purple and black I just found very pretty :).

I used Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac and Revlon Scandalous for an accent nail. Both polishes applied smoothly, Lilac was opaque in two coats and so was Scandalous.

I'm pretty sure Revlon makes their bottles label-free for swatching purposes, its really great. So happy to have new polishes, might have to do it again soon... xD

OPI Burlesque Little Teasers

Hello chickas! If you were on holiday break these past weeks, how was your first day back to work?school? Mine was alright, and now that school has stared up again I'm going to try to keep posting on a regular schedule. So it won't be oh-my-gosh-a-zillion-posts-in-five-minutes like over break, but it also wont be cricket-cricket for a couple days anymore, I'm going to at least try to post once a day or every other day.

So here we have OPI's Burlesque Little teasers collection, aren't the tiny bottles adorable ^-^? I've been wanting The Show Must Go On ever since I got a pedicure with it, but everywhere online a full bottle could be raher pricey, for the item AND shipping. But I found this collection on eBay for five dollars (and I think s&h was two or three dollars) and I was sold. It had the color I wanted and some other fun colors too, why not?

The first color is Rising Star, a shimmery gold color. All of the polishes in this collection were rather sheer and took about three coats to get to opaqueness I wanted. I myself don't wear gold too often, I mostly stick to silver with jewelry. But I think Rising Star will be nice for some nail art.

Next is Take the Stage, a gorgeous coppery orange color. All of these polishes have a shimmer to them, I just can't seem to get enough shimmers can I? This polish really reminds me of fall, not so much the leaves but just the general color that comes to mind with fall.

Shown here is Ali's Big Break, a very pretty red with a subtle shimmer. I don't have many reds, and none a shimmer, so this is a nice addition.

Lastly is the long anticipated The Show Must Go On! which after reading the description on the box is kinda pinkish, which is fine by me. I've been wearing this one all day and in different lighting it can appear red, pink, or orangey with a yellow shimmer. All in all just a gorgeous color, and I may have to spring for a full size bottle when this mini one runs out, or just be very conservative.

So what do you think? Would you buy/wear any of these polishes?

Spectrum Cosmetics- Dark Matter

This polish arrived the other day and I haven't had the time to write a post about it till now. Its my first ever indie polish (I din't understand the term "indie polish" for a long time too). This is though, the second indie I've purchased, Samurai Princess hasn't arrived yet. It comes from an Etsy shop called Spectrum Cosmetics. I saw this polish moths ago and loved it, and on a random whim looked it up and saw she had it in stock again! The shade is called Dark Matter, lets take a look:

Here is three coats without a top coat. The polish is sheer with holographic glitters that shine in an array of rainbow colors. It dries matte and a little rough.

Here it is with two coats of OPI Fast Dry top coat. Its a gorgeous polish, and I like it more than Zoya Storm. I usually don't like black polish unless it's paired with nail art, but the sparkle in this polish makes it nice. The only bad thing I have to say about this polish is that its terribly pungent, a very strong smell that made me a bit dizzy. But after a while it wasn't so bad and I was able to do a full manicure.

The polish also came with a note, I love when a salesperson does something personal, even if its brief.

I really love this polish, it reminds me of the night sky, Probably while its called Dark Matter. I can't wait until the other indie polish arrives so I can try that one out too, and decide if indie polishes are my thing or if I prefer regular polishes.
